Ebokio Publishing is a self-publishing platform where authors publish into a digital bookshop: upload a manuscript (EPUB or DOCX) and get a live product page in the ebokio.com bookstore. Authors keep their rights (non-exclusive), earn 70–90% of net receipts paid into their own bank in its own currency, and can use optional AI tools for covers and metadata. The author platform is publishing.ebokio.com; books are sold to readers on ebokio.com. ## Key facts - **Royalties:** Free plan keeps 70% of Net Receipts; Premium keeps 80%; Pro keeps 90%. Net Receipts = the sale price minus the reader's VAT (UK e-book VAT is 0%; remitted by Ebokio) and the payment-processing fee. Royalties are paid gross — no author-side tax is withheld. - **Plans (GBP / month):** Free £0, Premium £13.99, Pro £19.99. You can switch plan at any time. - **Payout schedule:** each calendar month's earnings are paid at the end of the month two months later (e.g. January earnings are paid at the end of March) by bank transfer, routed the fastest way for the author's country (PayPal coming soon). Minimum payout £30 (or local-currency equivalent) — balances below the minimum roll forward. - **Rights & exclusivity:** non-exclusive, always. You keep copyright, can sell the same book elsewhere, and can remove a title at any time. There is never an exclusivity period. - **Formats:** upload EPUB or DOCX. The built-in editor produces a clean, reader-ready EPUB and a downloadable file for buyers, which you can replace any time. - **ISBN:** optional on Ebokio — never required to publish or sell here. Ebokio is not an ISBN agency and does not issue ISBNs. Bring your own and it is shown with your ebook, or skip it — every title gets an internal Ebokio ID. Other sales channels and library services may require an ISBN; check their own rules before distributing elsewhere. - **Review time:** Free authors typically 4–6 working days; Premium authors under 24 hours, with a same-day track for time-sensitive launches. - **AI tools (all optional):** AI Cover Studio and AI metadata autofill (monthly quotas scale by plan), an AI Author Co-pilot (Pro), and AI Librarian discovery across the store. Manuscripts are never used to train any AI model; the AI Librarian uses lightweight metadata embeddings only. - **Pen names:** supported.
