The deal

Royalties, review times, payouts and fees — the real figures, with every line linked to the page that spells it out in full.
Net receipts are the sale price minus the reader's VAT and the card-processing fee. 70% on Free, 80% on Premium, 90% on Pro — paid gross, with no tax deducted unless the law requires us to withhold.

Who owns the rights to my book?
You do. Always. Ebokio takes a non-exclusive distribution license to sell, deliver, and serve your book through the storefront and reader. You can pull a title down at any time, and you can sell anywhere else in parallel.
What formats can I upload?
EPUB and DOCX. We auto-detect chapters, headings, footnotes, and tables of contents, and generate a clean reader-ready edition plus a downloadable file for buyers.
How do royalties and payouts work?
Free authors keep 70% of Net Receipts; Premium 80%; Pro 90%. VAT is paid by the reader at their country's rate and remitted by Ebokio, and royalties are your share of Net Receipts. Each calendar month's earnings are paid at the end of the month two months later (e.g. January's earnings arrive at the end of March) by bank transfer, routed the fastest way for your country (PayPal coming soon). Minimum payout £30 — balances below roll forward, and your payout arrives in your bank's own currency automatically.
What is the AI Librarian and how does it surface my book?
The AI Librarian is a natural-language discovery tool inside Ebokio. Readers describe what they want ("a slow-burn romance set on a German island in winter") and it routes them to matching titles using your book's metadata, blurb, and content embeddings.
Can I bring readers in from my existing list or website?
Yes — every product page and author page is a real, indexable URL. Link to them from your newsletter, website, or socials, and readers land straight on your book with the free 10% sample and one-click checkout.
Is there exclusivity? Can I sell on Amazon too?
No exclusivity, ever. Ebokio is a non-exclusive distribution channel by design. Sell on Amazon, Apple Books, or your own site in parallel — pricing per channel is your call.
How fast does my book go live?
Every title gets a real human review before it goes live — that's how the bookstore stays curated. Free authors are typically reviewed in 4–6 working days, Premium in under 24 hours, and Pro books jump the priority queue. You can track the status in your dashboard and we notify you the moment it's approved. Once live, the product page is immediately crawlable and discoverable.
